FIRST DAY OF CLASSES IS AUGUST 7th!

It’s that time again, NSAA Students! We are so excited to Create More with you this school year! We have a lot of important Back-to-School dates for you to mark on your Calendars.

Please read through all of the important information below regarding Auditions/Reviews, Registration, Fees, and Testing to make sure you are ready to head back to school!

July 27

HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT AUDITIONS & PORTFOLIO REVIEWS

If you are a new High School Student OR you are a returning High School Student who is seeking placement in an Advanced Visual or Performing Arts course for the ‘19-’20 school year, you must sign up for a Placement Audition and/or Portfolio Review.

Auditions/Reviews will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 9am-3pm at NSAA. To secure a time slot and to learn what to prepare, click the button below.

NSAA Middle School Students do not need to attend Auditions/Reviews.

HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION

 

HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Registration for Grades 10 & 12: 9am-12pm on Friday, August 2nd

Registration for Grades 9 & 11: 1pm-4pm on Friday, August 2nd

Fees (Grades 9-12): $200 ($100- Tech, Books & Materials, Lanyard, & ID, $100- Art/Activity)

Graduation Fee (Grade 12 only): $100 (Venue, Cap, Gown, etc) Note: this fee is paid in addition to standard High School Fees

High School students will receive their class schedule after fees are paid. Students are responsible for bringing transcripts to registration for any course work completed over the summer before any schedule changes will be considered. Please also bring any transcripts for classes taken elsewhere. Workbooks & various short readers must be purchased the first week of school. Supply lists will be available at Registration. Teachers will be in their classrooms to meet and greet parents & students. We highly recommend new students walk their schedule prior to the first day of school to become familiar with the campus.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Required Diagnostic Exams: 9am-12pm on Friday, August 2nd (Rooms 6A, 6B, 7A, 7B)

Middle School Fee: $100 (Art/Activity Fee)

New and Returning Middle School Students are required to take the Diagnostic Exams. Middle School student schedules will be distributed to students on the first day of classes- August 7th. A Car Pool Sign-Up will be available at Registration. Teachers will be in their classrooms to meet and greet parents & students. We highly recommend new students walk their schedule prior to the first day of school to become familiar with the campus.

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES

Classes will begin on Wednesday, August 7th!

High School classes begin at 7:50 am for students with a Zero Hour and 8:50 am for students who do not have a Zero Hour.

Middle School classes begin at 8:30 am.

All students should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for their first class. You can learn more about our High School and Middle School Daily Bell Schedules here.

MANDATORY PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING

Dean Cardenas, along with our Administration & Faculty, will be reviewing everything you need to know to make sure that your student is set up for success for the school year at this Mandatory Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 15th at 6pm in the NSAA Theater. Learn about important dates & guidelines, methods of communication, college prep, testing, ESS & counselling services, Visual & Performing Arts information, and more!

At least one parent/guardian per family MUST attend this meeting. Students are not required to attend.
